Women’s golf takes second; reidy medals

The Le Moyne women’s golf team took second place at their invitational last Wednesday, April 11, and senior Kathleen Reidy was awarded with a co-medalist honor. Elmira won the competition with a team score of 402, while the Dolphins shot a 407. Reidy was tied for the top score amongst all the teams, with a score of 94.

Freshman Jocelyn Bender shot her best round of the season with a 98, resulting in a tie for third place. Rounding out the rest of the team was sophomore Laura Nicolais, who marked a 102 to finish in a seventh place tie, senior Emily Crist who shot a 113 to finish in 13th and sophomore Emma Plucinik who came in at 15th with a 118.

Seniors Reidy and Crist were recognized before the match for their contributions to the program.

The team will play again this upcoming Sunday, April 22 and Monday, April 23 at the Gannon Spring Invitational at the Peek ‘n’ Peak Golf Resort in Clymer, N.Y.
