The Le Moyne men’s basketball team won their first home game this past Wednesday with a 68-60 win over American International.
The Dolphins got out to a big lead going into halftime by a score of 34-18 and they never looked back.
American International played a better second half, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Dolphins’ early lead.
Sophomores Jim Janson and Brian Zapisek led the way as they both recorded a double-double. Janson led the Dolphins in scoring with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Zapisek racked up 11 points and 11 rebounds of his own, adding the second double-double of the night. Two other Le Moyne players scored in the double digits as well, including junior guard Derrek Tartt with a season-high 11 points and senior guard James Cormier who recorded 10.
The win puts the Dolphins at 3-2 overall, and 2-2 in Northeast-10 conference play. You can catch Le Moyne in their next home game on Saturday, Dec. 17, against Post.
