Dolphin editors’ picks for ideal dinner companions

1.) Emily Powers, assistant News & Features editor:

It’s probably a toss-up between Angelina Jolie and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Angelina is fascinating and I’d really love to discuss her work with UNHCR, but I’m assuming Jackie Kennedy would also have amazing stories about both the White House and her work as a publisher and editor.

2.) Brandt Ranj, assistant Arts & Leisure editor:

George Harrison. A dead Beatle with a heart of gold. I think it’d be cool to hang out with someone who in life had reached high levels of acclaim but was still extremely humble. Plus, have you seen the man’s eyebrows?!

3.) Laura Drahos, Photo Editor:

I would have to choose George Harrison. Not only was he an amazing artist, but he was a great humanitarian as well. He has always been my favorite musician. so I think it’d be awesome to get to know him and hear all of his crazy and interesting stories!

4.) Chelsea Colón, Copy Editor:

I would have dinner with social activist Dorothy Day who passed away in 1980. It would be interesting to hear her thoughts on social justice issues in present-day society and how to fix them.

5.) Sara Carroll, Online Editor:

Coco Chanel. Mainly because I would love to hear her comments on how great her fashion empire has become. She is also a very inspirational woman and role model.
